Beşiktaş midfielder has attracted a lot of interest this season after a great start to the league campaign.

The Black Eagles star provided his fourth assist in six league game for Beşiktaş in their latest 2-1 win over Eskişehirspor that took them top of the table.

Özyakup setup Germany international Mario Gomez with his brace in the second half. The former Bayern Munich striker now has six goals in six games for his new side.

Özyakup has been one of the stand out players in Şenol Güneş’s attacking based side that has scored the most goals in the league (14).

The Turkish international midfielder who is valued at £15 million is being targeted by his former club Arsenal according to Talksport.

The Gunners have been scouting the 22-year-old and are expected to make an offer the Dutch born Turkish star.

Özyakup is of course a former Arsenal youth playing a major role in Gunners Under-18s side that won the Premier Academy League title in 2009.

The 22-year-old joined Beşiktaş in 2012 for a fee of €500,000 and played the last two seasons under the management of current West Ham boss Slaven Bilic.
