£20m Liverpool target nicknamed new Yaya Toure on verge of joining Turkish giants says club president

Benfica midfielder Anderson Talisca is on the verge of joining Besiktas according to club president Fikret Orman.

“Talisca will join us next week, the transfer went ahead like planned,” Orman was quoted as saying by Turkish-football.com.

A source close to the club revealed that the Black Eagles want Talisca on a two-year loan with a buyout clause option.

Benfica want a one-year loan deal but the clubs are now reported to have reached an agreement.

The 22-year-old midfielder is nicknamed the new Yaya Toure or Yaya Talisca in honour of the Ivory Coast intentional due to the similarities in their stature and playing style.

Liverpool were closely linked with the Brazilian midfielder and ready to pay £20 million for his services according to the Daily Star.

The Sun meanwhile reported that Championship outfit Wolves were nearing a £20 million deal with the Brazil international following their takeover by Chinese investors Fosun in what would have been a marquee signing.

The highly rated 22-year-old midfielder has already made his debut for Brazil and scored twice in the Champions League last season, making 21 appearances in the league last season.
