21-year-old Arsenal star Alex Iwobi linked with shock move to Euro giants

Galatasaray have been busy during the transfer window this summer. Igor Tudor’s side have already signed eight players and appear to be hungry for more.

A source from within the club has revealed to Turkish-Football that Galatasaray are interested in Arsenal’s 21-year-old star midfielder Alex Iwobi.

Per the source, the Istanbul giants want to sign the Nigeria international on a season-long loan with an option to buy included in the deal.

Iwobi has only played 11 minutes of football for the north London-based club this season. Arsenal have also been linked with the likes of Thomas Lemar this summer, which could push Iwobi further down the pecking order.

The 21-year-old provided eight assists and scored four goals in 39 appearances for Arsenal last season.

The Gunners face a tough away trip to Liverpool this weekend as they look to bounce back from their 1-0 defeat to Stoke City.

Galatasaray meanwhile face Sivasspor in the Turkish Super League tonight.
