£22m Brazilian star clears up confusion over future after reports of Man United deal

Benfica attacking midfielder Anderson Talisca has cleared up confusion regarding his future.

Turkish outlet Fotospor claimed that Besiktas were alarmed by reports that Benfica struck a deal with United earlier in the week.

The Portuguese giants recalled Talisca and were refusing to allow him to travel to Turkey despite striking a loan deal with Besiktas.

The Red Devils were closely linked with Talisca earlier in the summer and Jose Mourinho does share the same agent with the attacking midfielder.

“That is a question I can not give an answer to just yet,” Talisca told Globoesport when asked about United interest.

“I cannot deny there is interest but what happens next depends on Benfica and my representatives.

“Look every player dreams of playing under him [Jose Mourinho]. Mourinho wants me, he has wanted me for a long time and I am an admirer of his work.”

Despite striking a two-year loan with Benfica last season, Talisca does have a £22 million release clause.

The Brazilian star has however, revealed that he will be joining Besiktas on loan.

Talisca stated on his Instagram account that he is not leaving the Black Eagles despite reports suggesting that Benfica had struck a deal with Benfica.

“I am a footballer of Besiktas and I am going nowhere, my family and I are happy here,” Talisca said.

The 23-year-old scored 17 goals and provided six assists in all competitions for the Black Eagles last season. Talisca played an important role in Besiktas lifting the league title.
