The Sun recently reported that Premier League giants Arsenal were plotting a move for Barcelona midfielder Arda Turan.

The Gunners were also closely linked with Turan last summer prior to his move to Barcelona but London rivals Chelsea are also reported to be monitoring the situation closely.

Italian giants Juventus meanwhile are also interested as they prepare for losing Paul Pogba to Manchester United.

Barcelona could be willing to sell him for a cut-price £23 million deal despite the bearded winger joining on a £29 million move just last summer.

Despite almost daily transfer news Turan’s agent Ahmet Bulut has revealed that his client wants to stay and fight for his place with the La Liga giants.

Speaking to Emre Sarigul of Turkish-football.com [via the Guardian], Bulut said: “The interest [in Arda] is normal but the rumours saying he is leaving Barcelona are false, he is happy at the club.”

The 29-year-old does of course still have another four-years remaining on his contract and was part of the La Liga and Spanish Cup winning side last season.
