£24m Arsenal target dropped for last four Barcelona games, summer exit looks likely

£24m Arsenal target Arda Turan dropped for last four Barcelona games, summer exit looks likely

Barcelona star Arda Turan has been tipped as one of the players expected to leave the club this summer according to reports in Spain.

The reports appear to have some weight behind them as Turan has been dropped from Barca’s last four league games despite not being injured.

Due to injuries and simply not making the team Turan has played just a total of 148 minutes since 11 February 2017.

Despite struggling for playing time in 2017, Turan still managed to score 13 times and provide seven assists.

The latest developments will come as a transfer boost for Arsenal.

Turkish-Football recently reported that Arsenal have made an enquiry for Turan but that he is keen on staying at Barcelona.

Arsenal have held talks with Turan’s agent Ahmet Bulut according to Mundo Deportivo and Inter are also reported to be intersection.

The Spanish newspaper claim the 30-year-old would prefer a move to the Premier League over the Serie A.

Spanish publication Sport meanwhile report that the reigning La Liga champions want to sell Turan and recoup as much of the £32 million [€38m] they paid for him in 2015.

Per the source, the Barca would accept £24 million [€28m] for the Turkish international attacking midfielder.

Arsenal could however, have struggling convincing Turan to make the move considering they do not have Champions League football next season.

The experienced attacking midfielder has had guaranteed Champions League football for the past few seasons as Atletico Madrid and Barcelona.
