£28m Man City striker Wilfried Bony “wants move” to Euro Giants says former Czech international

Galatasaray have received a major boost in their quest to sign Wilfried Bony this summer.

The Lion’s are on the hunt for a new striker following the premature departure of Kolbeinn Sigþórsson in January. Furthermore, star forward Lukas Podolski has already put pen-to-paper on a deal with the Japanese Club Vissel Kobe and will leave this summer.

Galatasaray have pulled out all the stops in a bid to convince Bony to join the Istanbul giants. Former player Didier Drogba has been drafted in to help convince Bony to make the move.

According to the Turkish outlet Fotomac, Bony has turned down a move to China and is keen on a move to Galatasaray.

Per the source, former Czech Republic international and Galatasaray star Tomas Ujfalusi has been in frequent contact with Bony’s agent Dalibor Lacina.

Ujfalusi has reported back to Galatasaray, stating that Bony is open to a move to the Lions. However, Galatasaray still need to strike a deal with Man City.

The Citizens signed Bony for a lofty £28 million from Swansea City back in 2015 (BBC).

Bony has been deemed surplus to requirements by Pep Guardiola and spent this season out on loan at Stoke City.
