3 reasons £22m Talisca would be a success at Manchester United
Besiktas star Anderson Talisca set the Turkish league on fire this season.
The Brazilian attacking midfielder joined Besiktas on a two-year loan from Benfica has directly contributed to 23 goals this season – 17 goals, six assists – and established himself as a cult figure among the Black Eagles fans.
Talisca has been closely linked with a move to Manchester United following comments made in an interview with Globoesporte.
Talisca was asked about Jose Mourinho and interest from Manchester United: “That is a question I can not give an answer to just yet.
“I cannot deny there is interest but what happens next depends on Benfica and my representatives.
“There will be news on this soon.
“Look every player dreams of playing under him [Jose Mourinho].
“Mourinho wants me, he has wanted me for a long time and I am an admirer of his work.
“I had a good season so we will see what happens.”
Here are three reasons Talisca would be a success at United.
A question mark often raised when talented foreigners are linked with a Premier League move is whether he could do it on a cold, wet Wednesday night in Stoke. Talisca was built for the stereotypical demands of English football, raw power and speed are two attributeS he has no shortage of.
Talisca is the height of your average goalkeeper, the 1.92m tall attacking midfielder towers above most opposition players. The 23-year-old is a nightmare to deal with, difficult to tackle and almost impossible to beat in aerial duals. The Brazilian is uses his strength to his advantage, it takes a brave defender to get in the way of his rampaging forward runs. He also tracks back and uses his strength on the defensive end as well.
