£30m Leicester City winger eyes January exit, Newcastle & Fenerbahce linked

Leicester City winger Islam Slimani is one of 12 players on Fenerbahce’s January shortlist.

A source close to Fenerbahce revealed to Turkish-Football that the club have been scouting Slimani and are interested.

The Yellow Canaries have not made an offer or entered direct talks as of yet.

French newspaper L’Expression, claim that Slimani is keen to leave the club in January but that his manager Claude Puel has yet to make a decision on his future.

The Foxes were reported is keen to leave the club in the winter but new boss Claude Puel first wants to see more of him before making a decision on his future.

The Leicester based outfit were understood to be happy to sell the Algeria international in the summer, but wanted to recoup as much of the £30 million they paid for him as possible.

Newcastle United and Crystal Palace are also reported to be interested in the winger as well according to the Leicester Mercury.

Slimani has four goals and one assist in nine appearances but has made just one Premier League start.

Fenerbahce have struggled for goals from their forwards this season.

Vincent Janssen joined on loan from Tottenham but has just two goals this season while Roberto Soldado has not even found the back of the net yet.
