Liverpool host Beşiktaş at Anfield on Thursday 19 February in the Europa League Round of 32 knowing that the Black Eagles have only lost once in five games against English opposition this season.

The Reds may not be too concerned with the Black Eagles impressive record considering they humiliated Beşiktaş with an 8-0 scoreline the last time these two sides met at Anfield.

A lot has changed since 2007-08 and Brendan Rodgers underlined that Beşiktaş have four attackers his side will have to keep an eye on.

“Besiktas have good players, a good front four with Demba Ba at the top of it,” Rodgers was quoted as saying by the Daily Mail..

Here are the four attacking players we believe Rodgers will be most concerned about.

Demba Ba

Demba Ba

Beşiktaş fans may be haunted by Liverpool’s record breaking 8-0 win but the Reds will not be too pleased to be facing Demba Ba again. The Senegalese international  famously scored against Liverpool last season while playing for Chelsea. Steven Gerrard’s infamous slip against the Blues allowed Ba a free run on goal to give the London based side the lead the lead. Chelsea won the game 2-0 delivering a hammer blow to the Reds title challenge and ending Liverpool’s 11 game win streak. Ba is no stranger to England having netted 50 times for the likes of Chelsea, West Ham and Newcastle United. The powerful striker has hit the ground running since joining Beşiktaş from Chelsea in the summer.  Ba has 22 goals in all competitions and scored the winner against Tottenham in the Europa League group stages. The 29-year-old can be very dangerous on the counter attack and is capable of holding the ball up well and playing in his teammates with his back to goal. Ba also possesses an aerial threat and will be a danger with his strength, athleticism and movement in the box.
