£7.4m West Ham target will not leave Turkey in January says Besiktas president

Beşiktaş winger Gökhan Töre will not be leaving Beşiktaş over the winter transfer window the club revealed in an official statement.

The statement read: “Our aim is to be champions not to sell our best players on the course to becoming champions. Gökhan Töre is fully committed to Beşiktaş and will not be leaving.”

The Black Eagles are unlikely to part ways with Töre in January but club president Fikret Orman has revealed that the club will listen to offers at the end of the season.

Beşiktaş recently turned down a £7.4 million bid from the Hammers according to the Sun newspaper.

The Black Eagles reportedly also received an offer from Spanish giants Atletico Madrid over the summer which was also turned down.

The arrival of Aras Özbiliz from Spartak Moscow has however, sparked rumours that Beşiktaş are gearing up for Töre leaving.

Özbiliz was unlikely to establish himself as a first-team player with Gökhan Töre in the side and the Armenian international’s loan to Rayo suggests that there will be no winter departures.

Töre is however, expected to be sold over the summer transfer window following the return of Özbiliz who will replace his role in the side.
