“A goal machine” – Man City news: Gundogan heaps praise on star forward following weekend hat-trick

Manchester City playmaker Ilkay Gundogan has heaped praise on his teammate Sergio Aguero following their weekend victory.

The Citizens recorded a 6-0 win over Watford FC at Vicarage Road on Saturday afternoon.

Gundogan made his first appearance in over ten months for the Manchester based club.

The Germany international suffered a knee injury last December in the same fixture. Kevin de Bruyne was replaced by Gundogan after 66 minutes.

Aguero recorded his sixth Premier League hat-trick during City’s victory at Vicarage Road. The Argentina international needs just three more goals to break City’s all-time scoring record.

Following the game, Gundogan heaped praise on Aguero insisting that the 29-year-old is a key part of the squad.

“He’s very special, just a goal machine,” Gundogan told City’s official club website.

“His last goal was incredible, it showed all his talent and how powerful he is. We need him and hopefully he’ll score a lot more goals.”
