AC Milan and Liverpool target Arda keen to stay in Madrid

Arda Turan has said that his is keen to remain in the Spanish capital with Atletico Madrid following interest from AC Milan.

“I’m in a competitive team and I enjoy competing”, Arda was quoted as saying by AS.

“I feel proud because I think I have contributed in consolidating the Atletico team and I am also very proud of the affection that Atleti fans have always shown me.”

Turan endured a difficult season with Atleti this season providing just three goals and six assists in all competitions.

AC Milan are preparing a lucrative offer for Atletico Madrid’s midfielder Arda Turan according to Spanish sports daily AS. Liverpool were linked with a a €30 million move for Arda in March by the Express.

The 28-year-old became the first Turkish born player to win the La Liga as Atleti won their first league title since 1996 last season.

The Turkish international was also part of the team that reached the Champions League final last season.
Arda made 46 appearances for Atletico Madrid in all competitions this season.
