Akhisar part ways with Ibrahima Sonko, Taskin Calis and Kenan Ozer [divider]
Akhisar have parted ways with Taşkın Çalış, Kenan Özer and İbrahima Sonko, club press officer Ibrahim Evren Acar revealed today.
The Akigolar released a statement on their official website confirming that all three players had left.
The statement read: “Following a meeting with manager Roberto Carlos we have parted ways with Taşkın Çalış, Kenan Özer and İbrahima Sonko, we wish them all the best in the future.”
Akhisar boss Roberto Carlos revealed that he was unhappy with a number of his players following the 1-1 draw against Manisaspor in the Turkish Cup.
Carlos’ side take on last placed Balıkesirspor in the league on the weekend.
Akhisar could be without Ahmet Cebe, Yiğit Gökoğlan, İsmail Konuk and Ricardo Vaz Te due to injury.
Merter Yüce, Gekas and İsmail Konuk will pick up a one match suspension if they receive a yellow card in the Balıkesirspor game.
Akhisar recently appointed Carlos as manager on a one and a half year deal after parting ways with Mustafa Akçay.
