Ali Adnan features in Iraq’s 2-0 loss against South Korea
Ali Adnan came on as a substitute during Iraq’s 2-0 defeat at the hand of South Korea in the semi final’s of the Asian Cup.
The Rizespor left back replaced Yasin in the 63rd minute of the match, but was unable to turn the tide of the game.
South Korea won the tie with goals from Lee Jeong-hyeop and Kim Young-gwon early in each half.
Korea are now just 90 minutes away from breaking their 55-year Asian Cup drought with their semi-final win eliminating a spirited Iraq.
Uli Stielike’s side will face either UAE or hosts Australia in the final.
Adnan joined Rizespor for €500,000 following an impressive display in the U20 World Cup.
The 21-year-old first made a name for himself helping guide the Iraq U20 national team to the semi-finals of the 2013 FIFA U-20 World Cup.
