Ali Guven: 'Wesley Sneijder could join Manchester United'

Wesley Sneijder could be on his way to Manchester United according to the Turkish businessman Ali Güven.

Güven played a major role in bringing Sneijder to the club in January 2013 for €8 million and has close ties with the Istanbul giants.

Speaking to the TuttoMercarto Guven said, “Sneijder will either stay at Galatasaray or go to England.

“I know Manchester United want to sign him.

“I doubt he will return to Italy as they will not be able to match the wages he ears at Galatasaray.”

Sneijder has also been linked with a move to Juventus and Inter in recent weeks.

However, the former Champions League winner has insisted that he wants to stay at Galatasaray.

The Netherlands international lead Galatasaray to Turkish Cup glory last season and played an important role in Galatasaray reaching the Champions League quarter-finals.

Sneijder has made one assist and three goals in 16 appearances for Galatasaray this season.
