The Galatasaray – Trabzonspor derby will be officiated by FIFA approved International referee Ali Palabıyık.
Palabıyık will officiate a game between two of the traditional big four – Beşiktaş, Fenerbahçe, Galatasaray, Trabzonspor – for the first time.

Palabıyık has officiated two Trabzonspor games, the Black Sea Storm drew the first match with Erciyesspor and won the second game 5-1 against Mersin.
The young referee is yet to take charge of a Galatasaray game this season.
