Arda Turan: 'I want to win the Champions League at Barcelona'

Barcelona winger Arda Turan admitted that he wants to win the Champions League with his new club.

Turan is no stranger to European football having won the Europa League, European Super Cup but the Champions League has proven elusive.

The bearded winger was part of the Atletico Madrid side that reached the 2014 Champions League final against Real Madrid but was unable to play due to injury.

“I am probably the closest I have ever been to winning the Champions League now, I mean Barcelona are always among the favourites to win the competitions and I want to be part of the side that hopefully wins it this season,” Turan told NTV Spor.

Turan believes he will get another chance to lift the Champions League trophy at Barcelona and considering they are the reigning title holders he may get another shot at winning European footballs most prestigious title.

The Turkish international will however, have to wait until January before he gets Champions League action with Barcelona as the club are unable to register him due to the transfer ban.

Turan will be officially registered as a Barcelona player in January once the transfer ban has been served.
