Arda Turan has told his close associates that he regrets making a move to Barcelona according to the Turkish sport news outlet Ajanspor.

The report claims that Turan is unhappy with his role at Barcelona after failing to cement a place in the starting eleven.

Ajanspor’s report is however contradicted by an interview Arda Turan recently gave.

“For me it’s a new system, a language that I still have to learn. Next year will be better,” Turan told Diario Ara.

“I know that from here I will be improving. Now it’s time to win titles and the year that comes will be better for me.”

Turan has settled in quickly to Barcelona after missing the first six-months due to the FIFA transfer ban imposed on the club.

The 29-year-old has two goals and four assists in the 17 games he has featured in this season and still has another five years remaining on his contract.

Turan was included in Barcelona’s starting line-up against Real Sociedad on Saturday. The Catalan Giants were defeated 1-0 and Turan was taken off midway though the second half.

Despite the defeat Barca are still three points ahead of second placed Atletico Madrid who beat Espanyol.
