Barcelona star Arda Turan has slammed critics of the club following a string of defeats which has seen the reigning La Liga champions crash out of the Champions League and blow their lead at the top of the league table.
Turan shared an Instagram picture and in his caption called out those criticising the club as being hypocrites.
The Turkish international added the following caption: “This is when you see everyones true intentions, this is when the mask drops. But times like this only strengthen us now we can get rid of the rotten apples and return stronger. We will never give up, it is not in my nature to give up and I will give everything to win all the trophies we are competing in. I am proud to be wearing the Barcelona shirt.”
Barca suffered another blow over the weekend after losing 2-1 against Valencia at the Camp Nou but are still first in the league on goal difference over Atletico Madrid who are second.
Arch rivals Real Madrid are just one point behind Barcelona and Atleti in the league standings.
Turan missed the weekend game against Valencia due to suspension but will return in time for the clash against Deportivo on Wednesday 20 April.
The bearded winger has two goals and four assists in all competitions for the reigning champions this season since making his move from Atleti over the summer.
