Arda Turan snub's Chelsea & Man Utd but cannot play until January

Arda Turan sealed a move to Barcelona from Atletico Madrid yesterday evening making him the third Turkish player to play for the Catalan Giants.

The Turkish international signed a five year deal with Barcelona keeping him at the La Liga champions until July 2020.

The move cost Barcelona a €34 million initial fee however they has an option to sell Turan back to Atletico by July 20. Financial details of Turan’s contract are yet to be disclosed by the treble-winners.

The Turkish international was also closely linked with a move to the Premier League. Both Manchester United and Chelsea had also been targeting the bearded winger.

Turan will be unable to play an official game for Barcelona until January 2016 due to a transfer ban imposed by Fifa for breaching rules over the signings of underage players.

The former Galatasaray player provided six assists and three goals in 46 appearances in all competitions for Atletico Madrid last season.
