Samuel Eto’o has had a great start to his Turkish adventure. The former Barcelona man is the top goal scorer in the league with 13 goals and has even taken over as interim manager at the his club Antalyaspor.
The Scorpions have won both games since Eto’o took over last week and he even hinted that he has his eye set on taking over as player-manage on a permanent basis.
Following his latest 2-1 triumph over Giresunspor in the Turkish Cup Eto’o also revealed that he is a big fan of Arda Turan and believes he will do a great job at his former club.
“Arda Turan is one of my favourite Turkish players and I am sure he will do well at Barcelona,” Eto’o told Turkish-football.com reporters after the game.
The Cameroon international has had an illustrious playing career winning two Champions League and three La Liga titles at Barcelona as well as the treble – including the Champions League, Serie A and Italian Cup – at Inter.
Turan meanwhile is one of the most successful players to ever leave the Turkish Super League winning ever domestic and European trophy in Spain and Turkey except the Champions League.
