Arda Turan with 6th assist of the season against Granada [divider]
Spanish champions Atletico Madrid moved into third place in the La Liga following a 2-0 win against Granada at home.
Mario Mandzukic scored his 16th goal of the season as he converted from the penalty spot in the first half.
Arda Turan helped secure all three points when his 89th minute cross rebounded off the back of Raul Garcia for Atleti’s second goal of the game.
Turan now has six assists in all competitions for the Rojiblancos this season.
The 27-year-old midfielder completed 69 passes and had an accuracy of 82 percent against Granada – only Gabi completed more passes (74).
The Atleti star became the first Turkish player to win a La Liga title season.
The 27-year-old was also part of the Atleti side that reached the Champions League final.
The Turkish international attacking midfielder has won the Europa League, UEFA Super Cup, Copa Del Rey and La Liga title since joining the Rojiblancos in 2011.
