Arsenal dropped five points behind league leaders Leicester City after being held to a goalless draw against Southampton at the Emirates.
Mesut Özil started for the Gunners but the leading assist provider in the league was unable to work his magic against the Saints.
Özil did however, almost score in the first half after making a well timed run and controlling the ball with a brilliant first touch.
