Arsenal and Manchester United on alert as Ilkay Gundogan targets Premier League move

Arsenal and Manchester United are understood to be preparing a move for Ilkay Gundogan as Dortmund offer the midfielder a contract extension according to Sport Bild.

The reports in Bild states that Gundogan is interested in a move to the Premier League. However, Dortmund want to keep hold of their star man and are preparing to offer him a contract extension.

“We want to continue to work with Ilkay and will continue the talks,” Michael Zorc  told Sport Bild.

The Premier League duo Arsenal and Manchester United have been closely linked with a move for the Germany international.

The hard working midfielder was one of the central figures of the Dortmund side that reached the final of the UEFA Champions League in the 2012-13 season.

Gündoğan has  four assists and has scored two goals in 19 appearances for Dortmund this season.
