Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger heaps praise on Mesut Ozil

Arsene Wenger has heaped praise on Mesut Ozil following the 27-year-old’s performance against Sunderland in the Premier League.

Ozil provided his 12th assist for the season for the Gunners opening goal. The former Real Madrid man received a rating of 8.5 from WhoScored making him the man of the match made five key passes and took 122 touches on the ball during the game.

“He was tremendous again today and it’s just a pleasure to watch,” The French boss was quoted as saying by TalkSport.

“We struggled a little bit to find our fluency at times but when the ball comes to him you know things will be more serene and technically right. He gives you hope that something will happen.

Arsenal have 30 points after 15 games and take on Olympiakos in the UEFA Champions League tomorrow. Arsene Wenger’s side need to beat the Greek Super League side by at least two goals in order to qualify.

Ozil has scored four goals and provided 12 assists in 20 appearances for Arsenal this season.
