Arsenal Demand £4.4m For Outcast After Unai Emery Green Lights Emirates Exit, Italian Giants Plot Move As Besiktas Fail To Make Progress

Italian giants Napoli want Arsenal keeper David Ospina according to Marca.

Per the source, the Serie A outfit have had difficult signing Mexican keeper Guillermo Ochoa.

Napoli have already signed two keepers this summer, Alex Meret and Orestis Karnezis – but the former is out with a fractured arm, forcing them to look for cover

The report does mention Besiktas but points out that talks have failed to progress lately.

The Gunners are demanding £4.4m [€5m] for the Colombian international which Besiktas have been unwilling to meet.

Besiktas have agreed personal terms with Ospina as we reported over a fortnight ago but the problem is the club has been unable to reach an agreement yet with Arsenal.

Napoli would be able to match the Gunners valuation but the issue for Ospina is that he’d be in pretty much the same situation as he is currently. As a second or third choice goalkeeper expected to receive limited playing time.

Besiktas would be able to offer a first-team role which makes them an attractive destination but they have been reluctant to meet Arsenal’s demands.

The Italians have until Friday, August 17 until the Serie A transfer window shuts.

Besiktas meanwhile have until August 31.

The Istanbul giants are prepared to wait late into the window if required to strengthen their bargaining position.
