Arsenal are facing an early season crisis following reports stating that Olivier Giroud, Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil could all miss the opening games of the upcoming campaign.

According to SkySports, the trio were absent from the Gunners latest Pre-season friendly against Ligue 2 side Lens and are all doubts for their season opener against Liverpool on August 14.

Olivier Giroud, Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil all participated in international competitions this summer. Sanchez won Copa America with Chile while Olivier Giroud and Mesut Ozil featured in Euro 2016.

Ozil was voted voted as Germany’s ‘player of the tournament’ for Euro 2016 on the German FA’s official website. The 27-year-old beat fellow star performers Toni Kroos and Jerome Boateng to clinch pole position.

The Arsenal playmaker scored one goal and provided one assist during Germany’s run to the semi finals. The Arsenal playmaker also boasted a pass accuracy of 91% and created 48 chances for his team-mates throughout the tournament.
