A group of Arsenal supports vented their frustrations with Besiktas’ star striker Mario Gomez after he failed to convert Mesut Ozil’s defensive splitting passes into goals.

The Arsenal playmaker scored Germany’s opening goal at the Stade de Bordeaux midway though the second half.

Ozil looked set to record his second assist of the game when he lobbed the ball into Gomez’s path however, the big striker failed to convert.

Arsenal fans reacted in an unforgiving manor and took to Twitter to make their feelings known.

Joachim Low’s side booked a spot in the semi finals after a tightly contested game which ended 1-1 after 120 minutes. Ozil did miss his penalty almost blowing his sides chances of booking a place in the semi-finals.

Germany will now take on the winner of the France v Iceland clash in the Euro 2016 semi-final.
