Fenerbahçe board member Mahmut Uslu stated that Arsenal forward is not a transfer priority for recently appointed manager Vitor Pereira.
“We spoke with Pereira and he does not see Joel Campbell as a priority he wants to work with winners,” Uslu was quoted as saying by the Milliyet.
Fenerbahçe have been closely linked with the Costa Rica international after the Milliyet newspaper claimed he had reached an agreement-in-principle with the club.
The Yellow Canaries are reported to be interested in Manchester United star Nani as well as Bursaspor striker Fernandao.
Campbell received a number of offers in the summer but Gunners boss Arsene Wenger wanted Campbell to stay at the North London based club before eventually letting him go on a temporary move.
The 22-year-old was loaned out to Villarreal and is now expected to join Real Soceidad over the summer transfer window.
Fenerbahçe finished the last season in second place and booked a place in the Champions League playoff stages.
