Arsenal have ‘screwed up’ says Mesut Ozil

Mesut Ozil Arsenal v Everton - Premier League Arsenal 3-4-1-2

Arsenal are currently 11 points behind league leaders Leicester City. The Gunners do have a game in hand but considering reigning champions Chelsea as well as Manchester United and Liverpool are out of the title race Arsenal would have been expected to do better.

The north London outfit are still in the title race but considering none of the traditional favourites are ahead of them they will be feeling a tad disappointed with their current league standing.

Mesut Ozil said it how it is in his recently interview with Spox: “Looking at our season so far, we have to be honest and admit that we screwed up ourselves.”

Arsenal do have a game in hand and could close the gap with Leicester to eight points once they catch up but they face a tough task in overtaking both the Foxes and north London rivals Tottenham with eight games left.

The Gunners only chance of winning silverware this season is the Premier League after being knocked out of the FA Cup and Champions League.
