Arsenal have joined Manchester United in the race to sigh the Turkish international midfielder Oguzhan Ozyakup.

The Spanish outlet Deporte Valenciano state that the Gunners are keeping tabs on the 23-year-old midfielder. Meanwhile the Turkish Super League broadcaster LigTV state that Manchester United are readying a £20m bid for the Besiktas man.

Per the source, Manchester United bos Jose Mourinho has been impressed with the scouting report on Ozyakup and could be tempted into making a move for the former Arsenal midfielder.

Ozyakup is no stranger to Arsenal having played for the Gunners before. The in-demand playmaker joined Arsenal’s academy from AZ back in 2008 and went on to make his Arsenal debut in 2011 in the League Cup.

However, Ozyakup didn’t make a single Premier League appearance for the Arenal and subsequently left for Besiktas for just £350,000 in 2012.

The Turkey international scored 10 times and setup eight goals for the Super Lig champions in all competitions last season.
