Arsenal join Tottenham in race to sign 18-year-old wonder-kid  – Man City’s £4.5M bid already rejected

Manchester City have been joined by Tottenham and Arsenal in the race to sign Turkish wonder-kid Oguz Kagan Guctekin.

The 18-year-old was promoted to Fenerbahce’s senior side this summer and has already attracted the attention of several Premier League giants.

According to the Sun, scouts from Arsenal and Tottenham have been monitoring the young talent. Per the source, Fenerbahce have already rejected a £4.5 million bid for Kagan Guctekin.

“Manchester City have made a €5m (£4.5m) offer for him. We turned down the offer.” Fenerbahce president Yildirim was quoted as saying by the Sun.

“We gave assurances that he will play this season, do not be surprised to see him in the starting XI as a number eight.”

Kagan Guctekin signed a professional contract with Fenerbahce over the summer.

The Fenerbahce starlet is also a regular call up to the Turkish national team setup. Guctekin has played at every level from U15 to U19 level for the Crescent Stars.

Fenerbahce were held to a 2-2 draw by Trabzonspor over the weekend. The Yellow Canaries take on Vadar in the Europa League qualification round this week.
