Arsenal keen on €15m German star playmaker, Liverpool also interested

Arsenal keen on  €15m German star playmaker Kerem Demirbay, Liverpool also interested

Arsenal have set their sights on Hoffenheim’s in-form midfield playmaker Kerem Demirbay.

The Germany international of Turkish decent caught the attention of Premier League clubs following his performances against Liverpool earlier this season

According to the Italian outlet Calciomercato, the Gunners are keen on signing Demirbay.

The 24-year-old has represented Turkey at youth level and the senior Germany national team. Demirbay scored six goals and provided 10 assists for Hoffenheim last season.

German newspaper Bild claimed that Liverpool were also interested in signing Demirbay during the summer transfer window.

Meanwhile, another Italian outlet Tuttosport state that AC Milan have also entered the race for Demirbay. Per the source Hoffenheim are prepared to sell the 24-year-old for €15 million.

The midfield playmaker has previously played for Hamburg, Kaiserslautern and Fortuna Dusseldorf.

Arsenal recorded a 2-1 victory over Swansea City in the Premier League last weekend. The Gunners take on Red Star Belgrade in the Europa League on Thursday night before heading up north to take on Man City in the Premier League.

Demirbay could feature for Hoffenheim this week for their clash against Istanbul Basaksehir.
