Arsenal goalkeeper David Ospina has asked journalists to speak to his agent regarding a reported transfer deal being agreed with Fenerbahçe.
“If I were to talk about transfers now I would be betraying the team I am 100 percent focused to the Copa America if you want to talk transfers ask my agent,” Ospina was quoted as saying by Sabah.
Peru held Colombia to a goalless draw in the final Copa America group game but Ospina’s side booked a place in the next round as one of the two best third placed sides.
Ospina is set to leave Arsenal over the summer the summer as the Gunners continue efforts to complete the signing of Chelsea keeper Petr Cech according to the Mirror.
The Colombian international would fall down the pecking order behind Cech and Wojciech Szczesny to become the Gunners third choice keeper were he to stay at the club.
Fenerbahçe are on the verge of completing a €6 million transfer for Ospina according to HaberTürk on a contract worth €2.2 million per-season.
The Yellow Canaries have been in the market for a new goalkeeper after recently appointed sporting director Giuliano Terraneo declared current first choice keeper Volkan Demirel as not being up to par.
Ospina joined the Gunners on a €4 million move from Nice last season and kept 10 clean sheets in 23 games for Arsenal.
