Arsenal legend Henry slams Ozil's record against top 4 Premiership sides

Football pundit and former Arsenal striker Thierry Henry has criticised Mesut Özil’s record against the top four sides in the Premier League.

“I will single out, Mesut Özil that was his eighth game against a top four side, 0 goals and 2 assists that is not enough,” Henry said speaking on Sky Sports after the goalless draw against Chelsea.

Arsenal star Ozil unleashes his summer swag

Özil has only played three times against three top-four sides in the Premier League this season due to injury.

The Gunners are undefeated in 15 out of the last 17 games in which Özil has featured since returning from injury.

Özil had 81 assists in all competitions for Real Madrid before joining Arsenal and won the La Liga title under the command of current Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho.

The World Cup winner joined Arsenal in September 2013 from Real for a record £42.5 million.

Henry also stated that Özil has performed below the level of former Arsenal playmaker Cesc Fabregas.

“Overall since he joined Arsenal he has 14 assists, if you take Cesc he did that in one season 16 assists,” he added.

Fabregas left Arsenal for Barcelona and later joined London rivals Chelsea for €33 million in the summer.
