Arsenal and Manchester United are keeping close tabs on Barcelona star Arda Turan according to Fanatik.

The Turkish sports newspaper reports that are monitoring the bearded winger and considering making a £26 million move.

Arsenal and United have been closely linked with Turan for the past season and narrowly missed out on signing the Turkish winger last summer.

Turan’s agent Ahmet Bulut revealed that United made a move for the 29-year-old winger but that the offer was made last year and that Atleti rejected the bid.

“Last season Manchester United made a bid for Arda but Atletico Madrid did not want him to leave,” Bulut told AMK.

The Daily Star  reported last month that United and Arsenal were both interested in Turan.

The report claims that Barcelona would accept a £26 million move for the 29-year-old midfielder despite Turan claiming that he expects to stay at the club.

The Turkish international faces an uncertain future at the club after a difficult debut season. Turan was unable to play for the first six-months due to the FIFA transfer ban imposed on the club but did manage to break into the side following the turn of the year.

Turan scored a total of two goals and provided four assists in 25 appearances for the La Liga champions but his form took a dip towards the end of the season and he only played for 46 minutes in Barca’s last four league games.

The experienced winger is expected to captain Turkey today against Spain in their second Euro 2016 Group D game.
