Arsenal news: ‘Wenger Out’ movement gathers pace in Turkey, banner spotted during league game

The ‘Wenger Out’ protest movement gathered pace over the weekend following a series of scuffles among home fans as Arsenal hosted Manchester City in the Premier League on Sunday.

There were van leaflet protests outside the Emirates before the game and Arsenal Fan Tv were even involved in a post match altercation.

The Wenger in and out camps show no signs of putting differences aside for the time being.

The protest movement has even spilled over into to Turkey.

Fans were spotted with a ‘Wenger Out’ banner at the Akhisar v Basaksehir game in Manisa on Saturday.

A group of fans in the stadium held up a banner with ‘Wenger Out’ sprayed on.

Arsenal fans remain divided on whether Arsene Wenger should stay on as manager next season.

The Gunners have not won a league title in over a decade, have bowed out of the Champions League at the Last 16 stage for seven consecutive seasons and currently 6th in the league.

Wenger backers point to the fact Arsenal have consistently finished in the top four and have been stable, growing financially in the process.
