The New York City FC midfielder Andrea Pirlo has stated that Arsenal’s Mesut Ozil is one of the most creative players in Europe.

Pirlo who won the Serie A with both AC Milan and Juventus in a glittering career has come up with his very own Premier League dream team with the Shortlist magazine.

“Maybe the most creative player in Europe right now,” Pirlo told the ShortList.

“Creates an unbelievable amount of chances for attackers playing ahead of him. He has vision like nobody else in Europe.”

Ozil has provided 16 assists in 22  Premier League appearances this season. The 27-year-old is just four assists away from matching club legend Thierry Henry’s record record tally of 20 assists in a season.

Arsenal dropped five points behind league leaders Leicester City after being held to a goalless draw against Southampton at the Emirates last weekend.

The Gunners are just two points above rivals Tottenham who sit in forth place.
