Arsenal set to lose out on £20m Turkey ace sell-on fee, euro giants to use sneaky loophole

Arsenal may of had a disappointing summer transfer window but Besiktas are looking to deliver more transfer woes for the Gunners.

Last month Turkish-Football reported that Besiktas officials traveled to London for talks with Arsenal regarding Oguzhan Ozyakup’s sell-on fee clause. Besiktas previously offered the Gunners a £1 million fee in order to erase the clause from the Ozyakup deal.

Arsenal are currently set to receive 30% of any future fee for the The Turkey international.

However, according to goalbien.com, Besiktas are willing to allow Ozyakup’s contract run out this summer then re-sign him on a free transfer. The move would register Arsenal’s sell-on fee clause as void.

According to the Turkish newspaper Sabah Besiktas have set a £20 million price tag on Ozyakup. The ex Arsenal academy player has gone onto captain Besiktas and has established himself as a key part of the squad.
