Arsenal star Mesut Ozil & Galatasaray striker Podolski called up to Germany national team

Germany national team manager Joachim Low has called up his preliminary squad ahead of the Euro 2016 Group D qualification games against Ireland and Georgia.

Arsenal star Mesut Özil has been called up once against to the national team and has featured regularly in the Germany setup for the past few years.

Özil is one of three players in the national team of Turkish origin with the others being Liverpool defender-come-midfielder Emre Can and Borussia Dortmund midfielder İlkay Gündoğan.

Can has been called up to the national team for the second consecutive time after making his international debut against Poland.

Galatasaray striker Lukas Podolski has been called up to the national team but in-form Beşiktaş forward Mario Gomez has been left out.
