Arsenal star Mesut Ozil held secret talks in London with Euro giants official, agrees to leave if £350,000 a-week demand is met

Arsenal star Mesut Ozil held secret talks in London with Besiktas club official Umut Guner over a summer transfer, according to the Hurriyet.

The Turkish newspaper reported Ozil demanding £350,000 a-week.

Per the source, Ozil would consider a summer transfer if he receives an offer matching his wage demands.

The Black Eagles are on the verge of lifting the league title for a second consecutive season and would be able to offer guaranteed Champions League football next season.

Ozil recently revealed that he has been under pressure from his family to move to Turkey.

“Many people ask me that question [about Fenerbahce], my family, my friends. When they hear something like that they keep telling me: ‘Join that club’ or ‘Go there!'” Ozil said in an interview with Goal.

If Ozil were to end up at Besiktas it would probably upset a few Fenerbahce fans.

The World Cup winner is of course a self-confessed fan of the Yellow Canaries.

The Ozil told Fanatik: “It would be an honour in the future. Everyone knows I grew up as a Fenerbahce fan.”

The Hurriyet report also claims that the 28-year-old wants £300,000 a-week from Arsenal.

Ozil has just over 12 months remaining on his contract and has yet to sign a new deal yet.

The Gunners could be forced to sell the Germany international of Turkish origin if an agreement is not reached but finding a club willing to accept his astronomic demands could be a challenge.

The Gunners ace has scored 12 goals and provided 14 assists in all competitions this season.

Ozil could add to his tally in the FA Cup final against Chelsea at Wembley on Saturday 27 May.
