Arsenal star Mesut Özil recently celebrated reaching the 10 million follower mark on Twitter making him the most popular Germany international on Twitter.
Özil also has the second highest number of followers in the Premier League with only Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney ahead of him.
The Gunners playmaker has developed an addictiong to tweeting but who wouldn’t when you make as much per-tweet as he does. The 21-year-old makes £33,120 per-tweet according to the Metro.
The World Cup winner is the fourth highest earning footballer in terms of social media endorsements.
Portuguese international Cristiano Ronaldo is the highest paid footballer per-tweet followed by Barcelona forward Neymar and then Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney.
Özil is one of three ethnic Turkish players in the current Germany national team with Borussia Dortmund midfielder İlkay Gündoğan and Liverpool midfielder-come-defender being the other.
