Arsenal playmaker Mesut Ozil has taken to social media to reminisce about his time in the Bundesliga.
The 27-year-old began his career at Schalke 04 before moving to Werder Bremen in the search for first team football.
Ozil posted a picture of himself from back when he played for Bremen along with the caption, “Happy Birthday, @werderbremen! #ThrowbackThursday #NeverForgetWhereYouComeFrom #OldTimes.”

Ozil has 16 assists in the Premier League this season and is just four assists away from matching Henry’s record record tally of 20.
Arsenal dropped five points behind league leaders Leicester City after being held to a goalless draw against Southampton at the Emirates.
Ozil started for the Gunners but the leading assist provider in the league was unable to work his magic against the Saints.
The Gunners are just two points above rivals Tottenham who sit in forth place.
