Arsenal playmaker Mesut Özil has sent out a reminder to his fans of Germany’s World Cup winning run last year.
The 26-year-old posted an image of himself celebrating after Germany’s victory over Algeria in the World Cup. Die Mannschaft went on to win the tournament.
Özil posted the following caption along side the image, “A year ago… #Germany vs. #Algeria #fifaworldcup #brazil #throwbacktuesday.”
Özil has been in Los Angeles on holiday for the past week and has kept his social media followers updated with his day to day activities. The 26-year-old ended the 2014-15 season with his second consecutive FA Cup title.
The Germany international joined Arsenal for a club record £42.5 million from Real Madrid back in 2013. The Germany international provided nine assists and five goals in 32 appearances this season.
Arsenal finished the season in third place and will directly qualify to the UEFA Champions League group stages next season.
