Arsenal star Mesut Ozil says he can improve

Mesut Özil has stated that he is yet to reach his full potential and that the past two seasons have been a success for Arsenal football club.

The Germany international has won back to back FA Cup’s since arriving in England, a competition in which he has maintained a unbeaten record.

“I know that I have a lot more potential to show but if you look at the last two years, we’ve been successful and have won the FA Cup twice,” the World Cup winner told Arsenal Player.

“Every season you need to prove yourself again and I want to do that again this time.

Özil has already won La Liga, the World Cup and the FA Cup by the age of 26.

The 26-year-old was part of the Gunners side that lifted the Barclays Asia Trophy cup in Singapore last Saturday after defeating Everton 3-1.

The former Real Madrid star has won two Vitality Arsenal Player of the Month and a PFA Fans Player of the Month award since the turn of the year.

Özil provided nine assists and five goals in 32 appearances for Arsenal in all competitions last season.
