Arsenal suffered a setback to their title challenge after losing 3-2 against Manchester United at Old Trafford.

Mesut Özil did however, put on an impressive performance providing his 18th assist in the league and scoring his seventh goal of the season.

Manchester United legend Rio Ferdinand was so impressed with the World Cup winner that he described him being an artist.

Özil could have had more assists as he created the highest number of chances for his side (6) but his teammates squandered his artistry.

The Arsenal star setup Danny Welbeck with a brilliant set-piece delivery on 40 minutes for the Gunners opening goal and ended up scoring himself.

The Gunners have now gone a decade without winning away against United and dropped five points behind league leaders Leicester City.

Özil now created 111 chances in the Premier League this season – the highest in the league – however, the Gunners have scored the fewest goals in the top-four (43).
