Arsenal star Ozil delighted with 180th career assist

Arsenal star Mesut Özil provided his 180th career assists in the 3-0 win over Watford in the Premier League today.

The 27-year-old shared the following tweet following the convincing win over Watford.

The first half ended in a goalless draw but managed to put three past Watford within 12 minutes in the second half.

Özil setup Alexis Sanchez with the opening goal and setup striker Olivier Giroud just six minutes later.

Arsenal ended up winning the game and moving back into second place overtaking Manchester United who temporarily moved in second place following their 3-0 win over Everton.

Arsenal have now won back-to-back games in the league and take on Bayern Munich next in the Champions League.

Özil now has six assists in the Premier League this season – more than any other player in the league.

The World Cup winner has a total of 27 assists for the Gunners since joining on a record breaking £42.5 million transfer from Real Madrid back in 2013.

Özil had a phenomenal assist record at Real with 81 assists in 159 games for the Galacticos.
