Germany are unbeaten in the competition so far after also defeating Ukraine and Northern Island are playing out a scoreless draw with Poland.

The Arsenal playmaker has provided one assist in four games for Germany so far in Euro 2016 but could have had a few more had his team-mates been less profligate against Northern Ireland in their final group game.

Liverpool’s Emre Can was left out of the starting line-up once again and is yet to make an appearance at Euro 2016 this summer.
