Arsenal still have a theoretic chance of winning Premier League according to Mesut Özil.
The attacking midfielder admitted that he is looking forward to the London derby against the Gunners south-west London rivals.
“We are in a great shape and want to extend our run with a victory on Sunday,” Özil was quoted as saying by Goal.
“Even if we only have a theoretical chance of winning the Premier League, the meeting of the two teams with the most points of the league is something special.”
The Gunners are currently second in the Premier League but there is a 10 point gap with leaders Chelsea.
Arsenal have to beat the Blues to stand any chance of making up the lost points.
The North London based club have won 14 out of their last 16 games in which Özil has played.
Özil has been in good form for the Gunners and has been nominated for the April PFA Fans’ Player of the Month.
The six finalists are Özil, Christian Benteke, Eden Hazard, Yannick Bolasie, Esteban Cambiasso and Ander Herrera.
